Saraf-Fischer Wedding

Mary Ann Saraf and Neil Joseph Fischer wed on 22 September 1951 in Savannah, Georgia and resided in Lake Mary and Sanford, Florida after a honeymoon trip to Miami stopping in Seminole and Orange county tourist sites along the way. The couple risided in Central Florida for two years as the groom was stationed at the Navy base there.

SARAF-FISHER Wedding Held At Sacred Heart Church.
The wedding of Miss Mary Ann Saraf and Neil Joseph Fisher took place Saturday morning at the Sacred Heart Church with Father Robert Brennan, O.S.B., officiating.

The matron of honor, Mrs. Edith Jenkins, wore a rose gown of nylon net with a shirred bodice, puffed sleeves and full skirt. She carried a bouquet of matching asters. The bridesmaids, Miss Mary Ann Green, Miss Catherine Valenti and the Misses Antoinette and Rose Saraf, wore identical dresses in shades of lavender and pink, and carried bouquets of asters. On their hair were plaited bands with net veils.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Philip saraf, wore a gown of white satin with ahem of ruffled nylon tulle and an overskirt of Renaissance-type lace. The bodice had a yoke of nylon tulle outlined with seed pearls and long lace sleeves. Her fingertip veil, bordered with lace was held by a bonnet trimmed with orange blossoms. White roses centered with an orchid former her bouquet.

R. E. Jenkins was best man for the groom, and the ushers were Michael Gannam, Buddy Hahn, Joseph Russell and Sammy Tootle.

The bride’s family entertained with a small reception at the bride’s home at Fifty-third and Hopkins streets for members of the immediate family and the wedding party. Afterwards Mr. and Mrs. Fisher left for Miami on their honeymoon. The bride wore a suit of navy blue faille with navy and white accessories, and the orchid from her bouquet. They will reside in Sanford, Fla., where the groom is now stationed at a naval base.
