H.J. High Construction opened for business in the City Beautiful in 1936. Harlem “Johnny” High founded the Orlando company which today is led by his grandson, Robert High, company president, and his father, Steve High, chairman.
The legacy of H.J. High Construction can be seen in the landscape of Central Florida whether admiring WESH Channel 2 Studios from I-4, visiting the Walt Disney World Casting Center, seeing the UCF Solar Energy Center and Auditorium Project in Cocoa, or worshipping in one of the many churches built by the company in areas throughout the Sunshine State.
The company’s dedication to service and integrity of faith is well documented through the years in awards received and community giving. In 2012 they were honored as one of Orlando Business Journal’s Golden 100 Top Privately Held Companies and received the Associated Builders and Contractor’s Eagle Award for Excellence in Construction.
