Mayor William Beardall took office as Mayor for the City of Orlando January 1, 1941.

Special guests at the reception included Mrs. Florence Beardall mother of the new mayor and former Mayor James L. Giles who started the New Year’s civic reception tradition.

Mayor William Beardall served as Mayor for the City of Orlando from 1941 to 1952, four terms of three years each.
