Helen Thomas visited the Orlando Public Library on Friday, September 21 at 7 p.m. She discussed her book Watchdogs of Deomcracy, a critical view of journalists inability to ask the tough questions during the Bush Administration. She also discussed her lengthy stay in the White House Press Corps, interactions with past presidents, and her disdain for the policy miscues of the current administration.
The event was preceeded by a catered V.I.P. meet-and-greet with Helen and followed by a book sale and signing.
In 2008, OCLS was visited by Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh.
